原文：St. Johnsbury Academy compares very favorably to both Carmel Catholic High School and CATS Academy. Carmel is a suburban campus, thirty miles north of Chicago. They have 1,150 students and 87 faculty compared to 1,000 students and about 200 faculty at St. Johnsbury. Our average class size is about 12. Compared to Carmel’s 18 AP classes, we offer 30.

CAT’s Academy is a for-profit school that invested $45 million to convert a state hospital to a new campus in Braintree, MA. There is a large risk in for-profit schools in the current environment, especially if they took on debt for their new campus.

Although this would not normally be an issue, it is in the current environment: both Carmel and Braintree are hot spots for COVID-19.

St. Johnsbury Academy is stronger academically, we have a much clearer mission, and we offer a much greater range of courses and support.
